Guide Natural Stone Flooring: A Selection, Pattern and Installation Guide

01 — The Process

From survey to clean handover, step by step.

  1. 01

    Survey and quantities

The area is inspected on site; quantities, floor condition and laying direction are assessed.

  2. 02

    Stone, pattern and layout plan

Along with the stone, the joint layout, vein direction and joint placement are planned to the lines of the space.

  3. 03

    Production and preparation

Slabs are cut to size; in patterned layouts, the pieces are prepared to the installation plan.

  4. 04

    Installation and handover

Flooring and cladding are laid in planned order; after joint and surface checks, the area is handed over clean.

Stones We Use

On floors we work with marble or granite depending on traffic; on walls and facades, marble, travertine and decorative patterned layouts follow the line of the project. On large-scale jobs, material continuity is planned together with production.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions asked most before deciding.

Won't there be tone differences between slabs over large areas?

Tone variation is a real risk in natural stone; we manage it by planning the same block or batch and assessing the slabs together during production. Our production infrastructure in Tokat helps with material continuity over large areas.

Do you lay patterned / bordered floors?

Yes. Border, medallion and geometric layouts are used in entrances and reception areas; you can see a completed patterned building entrance in our gallery.

Can natural stone be laid over an existing floor?

It depends on the condition of the floor and the level tolerance; this is assessed during the survey. If it is unsuitable, the plan includes removing the existing covering.

What determines the price of flooring?

Quantities, the chosen stone and slab quality, sizes and the pattern plan, plus site conditions determine the price. An exact quote follows the on-site survey.
